Claus Dieter Dietrich Heinz Gorgichuk attended Royal Roads Military College from 1975-1977. Born in 1957, he was a qualified pilot and was still attending RRMC when he took part in a college diving expedition on January 7, 1978. He drowned when he became trapped under ice.

Roland Stuart's Hatley Park

The Hatley Park estate was so named in 1889 when the land was purchased by Roland Stuart and Charles St. Aubyn Pearse. The name derives from the ancestral home of the Pearse family in England. Pearse died in 1901 and Stuart had a number of other business partners and tenant farmers who helped manage the estate.

A large fire destroyed the property in 1905 and shortly after, Roland Stuart put the estate up for sale.

Robert Lee Lamont attended Royal Roads Military College from 1975-1977. Born in 1958, he joined the Air Force and was training at CFB Moose Jaw when he lost his life in a crash during a routine solo mission near Coderre, SK on 16 April, 1980.

Juli-Ann MacKenzie attended Royal Roads Military College from 1991-1995. Born in 1972, she joined the Air Force and was serving with the 444 Combat Support Squadron when she was killed in a helicopter crash 80 km northwest of CFB Goose Bay, NL on 18 July 2002.

Album includes photos of the McLean family in Fisherton, Ayrshire, Scotland. Jennie McLean Mann spent the duration of the Great War at her parents home in Scotland. There are wartime photos from both WWI and WWII in this album, however, only images from the family's time at Hatley Park (ca. 1911-1923) have been made available online.
